Litchfield began when Mr. Paul W. Litchfield of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company built his headquarters for Goodyear Farms in Litchfield Park. Goodyear Farms is where pima cotton was grown for its use in tire production. It was also a test site for Goodyear tires. In the 1960’s it became a master planned development.
