Carefree Carefree is a charming desert community with beautiful views from many of hits homes. It is nestled in between the Tonto Hills and Sonoran Desert. Carefree has experienced a 27% or 779 population increase in the past five years. Carefree currently has 3,706 within its city limits. Carefree has a working sundial that was built back in 1959. This sundial stands 35 feet above the plaza. Other interesting outings in Carefree would be visiting Tonto Hills. Tonto Hills is located east of Carefree and has a giant Kachina. Another interesting visit is a stop at Taliesin West – the home of famed American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Carefree Real Estate The average resale price for a home in Carefree was $875,000 as of the end of the first quarter 2006. Since 2004 the average resale home price has risen $390,750 or 81%. Many of the homes in Carefree are a charming Southwest style.
Carefree History Carefree was incorporated and founded in the 1950’s. It is a planned community of homes and business that has an artistic flair. Carefree is considered the sister city to Cave Creek.
